MeBeam is a free solution for video meetings.   MeBeam allows you to have up to eighteen people on the same video conference call.  It is browser based and if you don’t have a webcam but have a microphone you can still participate.  Because it’s a free service there are ads that appear above the video boxes and sporadic ad based posts in the chatbox.

I’ve been working on a website and with several different designs and color pallets.  This tool really helps to keep track of your CSS for consistency and especially when you are changing background colors of containers to make sure that text is in a color that works.

Hextractor will extract the colors from your stylesheet — whether they’re hex codes, RGB, or named colors — and generate a color palette from them showing you exactly what you’ve got, displayed in the formats you prefer.

I do think this is funny.

I’ve used several different screen capture programs to use for …well blogs, and to make quick notes to clients and write up instructions for a process.

I really like Jing by TechSmith for screen capturing.  I can snap a region, screen or window and then make notes, use arrows, boxes or a highlighter.

There is also a video feature which is great.

You can capture your video including sound and then upload it to TechSmith’s Screencast.com sight and send the links for viewing there – click here to see video or get the embedd code.    You can also save the .swf to your computer.

I use SlideShowPro for quite a few of my client galleries including the galleries on my own website.

I use an add-on script from web_xs24 to automatically generate an xml from from Coppermine Photo Gallery, a very extended photo gallery system. It’s comes with an easy-to-use updating system and supports multiple users.  This allows me to set up flash galleries that my clients are able to update themselves.  Prestige Models & Talent and Prestige Promotions are perfect examples.

I was able to brand the page for updating the galleries and include a link to the gallery page for them.

The only real complaint that I have is when working in Flash the parameters titles are cut off and sometimes it’s hard to remember all the parameters — so here’s a cheat sheet:
