Slideroll Online Slideshows

Slideshow at Slideroll – Flash Slideshow Creator, Photo Slideshows for MySpace, YouTube, and Everywhere! is a pretty cool tool.  They also have some additional tools, Slideroll gallery AV software for making flsh photo and video galleries and Slideroll Video Creator that turns your slideshows into video for CDs or DVD projects.

This is a pretty neat tool and resource for making quick embeddable slideshows for the web.  Everything from music, to transitions, etc.

There is a member gallery page with comments and sharing options.

Social Icons – love the Furry Cushion Icons

Some of the social icons out there are just fabulous.  I use a lot of them in combination with creating custom buttons or graphics for sites or emails.

I love the Furry Cushion Social Icons and if you are really into it you can get the actual Social Pillows to match.  Not a problem matching the Cheers Set, which is kinda fun.  If you go to Smashing Magazine and just search “social icons” they have links to a variety of sets you can download.

I just need a fuzzy client to use them for!

Give product tours to clients

I finally finished…or rather cleaned up my demo area of Archetype Marketing.  I have always had an area that I upload programs like Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and other open source programs so I can learn them and use them to test modules, etc. before installing them on client sites.  I also use the area to do walk-throughs.  Clients “think” they can do certain things and after they try it they make think otherwise.  The other thing that I started to do is to design templates that will work on several of the options so that if a client changes their mind and wants to use WordPress instead of Drupal for example then I don’t have to start all over again from a design standpoint.  Sometimes the best solutions is to combine a few options to so this helps with keeping the branding to go across the various platforms.

I’ve also loaded a few template examples across multiple platforms so you can see how they can be loaded on several options.  This is really going to help me and MAN…I am so glad I got this done.

Yippy for me.  Another thing off my 2010 list.  I’m smoking right now.

Kicking Carbs, Sugar and Alcohol…for a bit

Wrote this over a month ago and found it in my drafts and I’m happy to report that I’ve been extremely (no you don’t understand me), extremely good since December 6th.  No alcohol, vitamins, eating just about nothing and I feel great!

So I am desperately trying to get rid of that “I need” pattern that I have definitely developed over the last couple of years.   The best thing to do is just feed my other habit of “googling” my problems and researching (ok..5 mins of googling) to find “options” to try.

Carbohydrate Craving Syndrome – says that a Chromium Suppliment would be good and it seems that 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) would be good for me.

I’m drinking more tea.  One of my wonderful clients just sent me a Starbuck’s gift certificate – I haven’t been drinking coffee regularly for a while (too expensive and my roommate makes it at 5:30am…too early for me to be a part of that coffee drink wise and budget wise)

But I bought the Starbucks Via and love it.

Multiple Google Accounts and Chrome

I love when you want to do something, you do a search and bam…there you go, the answer.

I have mutiple google accounts to manage all kinds of things from google voice to analytics to rss feeds, etc.  An issue would be logging in and out of accounts when using the same browser.  I would have Firefox, Chrome, Safari and (eeek yuk) ie open with different google accounts logged in so I would get booted off of a particular one when logging into another.

Found this article, “Use Multiple Google Accounts Simultaneously in One Browser With Google Chrome”  that made me remember the “incognito browsing” in Chrome or Private Browsing in Firefox.  Just open another window in that mode and voila, you can log in and stay logged in.  The other area this would be good for is when I’m editing CMS sites so that I can make sure that I’ve edited permissions correctly for anonymous users.

I’m happy.  Really diggin Chrome.
