I’ve been working on a website and with several different designs and color pallets.  This tool really helps to keep track of your CSS for consistency and especially when you are changing background colors of containers to make sure that text is in a color that works.

CSS is one of those design things that is a constant learning experience.  I find, figure out, solve so many problems by playing around with various css layouts.

Subcide has a pretty good tutorial that takes you through the steps to create a CSS layout from scratch.

Fonts: If you can’t beat ‘em’…join ‘em’

Carl Hubber posted a nice chart, “Converting px into percentage and em for relative CSS font sizes“.

Even though I hate doing anything for the reason of compatability with IE6, converting fonts to ems seem to make more sense as far as a habit to get into.
