It’s nice to get thanks…

The Gordon Group, LLC, WebsiteI am just about done with Nancy Gordon and The Gordon Group, LLC’s (Nancy…you’re the expert and I hope I got the punctuation correct) website.  We launched yesterday and her first post on the re-launched site was a very nice thank you and referral to me.

It is so nice when people do say Thank You.  I still working on a little blog piece on all the games on Facebook but one thing for sure is that most of the games made me feel is good about all the “thanks” and the “rewards” and the “collecting the money” and visiting “your friends” or “neighbors”.  Real life doesn’t always give you that “warm and fuzzy” feeling so it’s can feel really nice to get it someplace, even if it’s virtually.

On that note, do check out The Gordon Group, LLC at www.thegordongroupllc.com.

Do I miss cable TV? Absolutely flippin NOT!

Annoying Mucinex Ad
I decided not to waste money on cable when I moved this past summer and I don’t miss it.  I found that I can barely watch regular TV now that I only watch online and I have a tendency to want to watch regular series programs like a movie…all continuous.  I never saw “24″ so I watched all three seasons during the holidays while I was working and now I’ watching Dexter.  I have my two monitors hooked up to my desktop for work and then I have my laptop hooked up into my old 19″ that’s on my nightstand where I watch so it’s actually a nice set up.

MegavideoI do pay for Megavideo because the there aren’t any ads and the quality and streaming is usually pretty good but I am usually routed there by SurftheChannel.com and sometimes they have these annoying video ads.  My desktop’s pop up and anti-virus seems to prevent a lot of them but my laptop’s protection is set up different (not to self…figure that out).  You can be watching something and then all of the sudden in the background you can hear one of those “I make money on Google” or some “Muselix” ad which is just wrong.

I think Cable TV should just go away (personally) but I also have no idea why they still print Phonebooks.

The Smell of Money

I cleaned my desk and office today and went out to restock candles and incense to replace all the holiday crap that I can now get rid of.

I found nice batch of incense (and it actually smells pretty good) to start off 2010.  I hope it works because since the print is so small on the box it made me realize I need new glasses.

Legalize…well…everything

I know this is old in “internet” terms but I thought it was good.

Kicking Carbs, Sugar and Alcohol…for a bit

Wrote this over a month ago and found it in my drafts and I’m happy to report that I’ve been extremely (no you don’t understand me), extremely good since December 6th.  No alcohol, vitamins, eating just about nothing and I feel great!

So I am desperately trying to get rid of that “I need” pattern that I have definitely developed over the last couple of years.   The best thing to do is just feed my other habit of “googling” my problems and researching (ok..5 mins of googling) to find “options” to try.

Carbohydrate Craving Syndrome – says that a Chromium Suppliment would be good and it seems that 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) would be good for me.

I’m drinking more tea.  One of my wonderful clients just sent me a Starbuck’s gift certificate – I haven’t been drinking coffee regularly for a while (too expensive and my roommate makes it at 5:30am…too early for me to be a part of that coffee drink wise and budget wise)

But I bought the Starbucks Via and love it.
