Am I a Google ho?
Sometimes I feel (and sound) like I have a “hard-on” (figuratively speaking) for Google. I gush about Chrome, well because I do really favor it as my current “flavor of browser” right now although I am known to take booty calls from my ex, Firefox. And IE, Internet Explorer, is like my ex-husband, I just want to run it over with a Range Rover and unfortunately I just can’t get away from and I still have to deal with IE constantly when designing.
I am very excited about the potential of Google’s OS and even though I haven’t made the jump to Windows 7 (I cower like a puppy that’s been beaten when thinking about new Windows releases), I have been hearing good things (read “Windows 7 Reaches 10 Perfect Market Share“).
Spotted on the Chronium site are concept images of a potential Google Tablet.
Skype in HD…I can’t wait.
I love Skype.  Love, love, love  skype.  Did I mention that I love Skype.
The latest beta version of Skype for Windows supports HD-quality video (1280 x 720 resolution at up to 30 frames per second), which provides a perfect picture. Â The equipment isn’t available yet but apparently soon (apparently Spring 2010). Â I would love an HD Cam.
faceVision announced products for Skype and their cams look pretty nice.![]()
Would you rather be online for free at McDonalds or pay at Starbucks?
McDonalds now has free internet and I can go online at Starbucks for two hours a day for free because I’m at a Green Rewards Level. Â I’m just not the type of person to hang out in coffee shops online, although I’m thinking I may try to do that more. Â Blogging, Twittering and non-design work would be good to do there and at least I’d be getting outside (eeerrr, away from my desk) and maybe even have a life conversation with a real person. Â I can’t even imagine being online at McDonald’s but maybe that’s because my son is 20 now and it wasn’t a thing when he was at the Mcdonald’s age. Â I used to take him to Chuck-e-Cheese plot him in front of those furry animals on stage in a high chair and sit a couple of booths back with my salad bar, glass of Chardonnay and a magazine (actually it was pretty nice if I remember correctly), guess it would kinda be the same with a laptop instead.
I’d rather find the Bar or Nightclub with free wi-fi. Â I always have my AspireOne in my purse and it would be nice to blog, twitter, organize my bookmarks while have
I guess if needing more time online for free at Starbucks becomes an issue I could make sure I went in there everyday for a coffee (since points are based on per purchase with your card, I’ve actually been going in there to buy beans so I’m eating up potential single purchases. Â But could I use more than 2 hours online at Starbucks? Â Could I sell that time on Craigslist?
The Smell of Money
I cleaned my desk and office today and went out to restock candles and incense to replace all the holiday crap that I can now get rid of.
I found nice batch of incense (and it actually smells pretty good) to start off 2010. Â I hope it works because since the print is so small on the box it made me realize I need new glasses.

A little office
I spend so much time just sitting at my computer that a little office like this might be kinda nice. Â Maybe just a little bigger with a couch.
Some very cool stuff at dornob.
