Snapvine on Rich Kid Academy
I installed Snapvine on the Rich Kid Academy site because the site is just full of “stuff to do” for visitors but it didn’t really take off. Â Dr. B is using it to leave messages, which I think is a good use for it.
Infrared5 – Nice design
I really like the design of Infrared5′s website. Just movies and looks beautiful.
ascii Characters in Auto Posts
OMG…I thought I was gonna lose my mind. But, yes thank you very much even with no sleep sometimes things work out.
So my post earlier: Update Twitter & Facebook Fan Pages Automatically via RSS had a little problem in that the posts contained ascii characters, as well as the fact that there wasn’t any thumbnail image in Facebook if you added a post on the site.
The ascii characters didn’t appear in Twitter but did on MySpace as well. ascii Characters with posts via Twitterfeed. So what was the fix?. I still use Twitterfeed (since it loads the rss feed from feedburner) but turned off the Facebook update and create a Ping.fm ccount. Then with Ping I set up updating facebook and the posts seem to be fine.
So easy…just post on your blog and everything else is update.
Update Twitter & Facebook Fan Pages Automatically via RSS
I have been desperately searching for the best application to be able to post status updates to both twitter and a Facebook Fan Page. Â There are a couple of issues with the whole facebook fan pages. Â If it is attached to my person account there aren’t many tools that don’t also post to your profile, which doesn’t work. Â Â I maintain a few status updates for clients and then I have my own (which is completely ignored most of the time)…although my twitter updates from here. Â Now all I needed was a facebook update.
So I just found a GREAT TOOL!
Twitterfeed:Â Update Twitter & Facebook Fan Pages Automatically via RSS.
So what I did is in my blog I created a posting category called “facebook posts” and then created a feed for that category only using FeedBurner. Â You don’t have to use FeedBurner, I just happen to like FeedBurner.
Then in Twitterfeed you add the feed.
Then just connect to facebook and select the page that you want the feed to go to. Â This is going to work fabulously!
