60th Birthday with a 60's Theme
Posted on Jul 10, 2009
A very good friend of mine wanted a invitation for her husband, Lynn’s 60th Birthday Party. The theme was 60′s dress and attire and would go out to approximately 100 guests.
A business card size “save the date” was also designed for early distribution. They live in a gated community where everyone drives around in golf carts that being able to have the little cards at hand would work out nicely.
Used OvernightPrints.com to print 100 Glossy Greeting Cards with envelopes at a 30% discount (Save 30% on Wedding Invitations. Use code ONPWED at checkout) and business card size “save the date” handouts. The business cards were only $9.95 (100 Business Cards ONLY $9.95. 1000′s of Free Templates, Design Today, Ready Tomorrow!
). The total order was received within 7 days and cost less than $135.00. Not a bad deal.
This also gives me a nice excuse to make a trip to California in August.

I am planning a 60th birthday for myself. I loved the “Celebrate Lynne’s 60th” invitation. Who designed the invitation and could I get in touch with them to design one for my party? Thanks, Jane
Hi Jane -
I designed Lynn’s invitations, as well as a poster for guests to sign and themed name tags for people to write their name and wear. The invitations were 5×7 Foldover cards in a nice glossy cardstock with white envelopes. The party was a lot of fun and the guests really enjoyed all the custom designs. our birthday invitations were all homemade by just using an inkjet printer and adobe photoshop.
Yes, you can do that. For larger quantities, I would recommend an online printer or other source that in the long run would be cheaper than running through an inkjet printer depending on the amount of color on the design.
birthday invitations should be given as early as possible to avoid any surprises .*:
