Do I miss cable TV? Absolutely flippin NOT!
Posted on Jan 7, 2010

I decided not to waste money on cable when I moved this past summer and I don’t miss it. I found that I can barely watch regular TV now that I only watch online and I have a tendency to want to watch regular series programs like a movie…all continuous. I never saw “24″ so I watched all three seasons during the holidays while I was working and now I’ watching Dexter. I have my two monitors hooked up to my desktop for work and then I have my laptop hooked up into my old 19″ that’s on my nightstand where I watch so it’s actually a nice set up.
I do pay for Megavideo because the there aren’t any ads and the quality and streaming is usually pretty good but I am usually routed there by SurftheChannel.com and sometimes they have these annoying video ads. My desktop’s pop up and anti-virus seems to prevent a lot of them but my laptop’s protection is set up different (not to self…figure that out). You can be watching something and then all of the sudden in the background you can hear one of those “I make money on Google” or some “Muselix” ad which is just wrong.
I think Cable TV should just go away (personally) but I also have no idea why they still print Phonebooks.
